A project that started a long time ago

The activity will be to offer a wide range of tourist assistance that is not carried out by travel agencies and/or car rental companies: certainly, the offer will have its own concretization in a series of tourist packages that will be different in terms of prices and methods, but massive use will be made of innovative technologies and highly advanced communication, in short, an avalanche of ICT for products and services that are largely not present within the Elimos GAL. In fact, most of the investment will be used to purchase two joelettes with electric assistance and traction harness; ten electric bicycles for amateur pedal assistance and ten rigid canoes with padded anatomical seats to be used for a group of three/four users-customers, in short, an investment in entertainment and fun activities that are mostly not present within the Elimi Lands

The Project Idea

tends to enhance the cultural specificities of the lands of the Elimi and to strengthen the tourist offer, with the creation of innovative services that are not present in the territory which, in our humble opinion, will favor the deseasonalization of the offer and, therefore, there will be the possibility of creating new jobs with a view to absolutely eco-sustainable processes. In the meantime, let's see the places that are the object of the intervention. The project idea is to enhance the territory of the GAL Elimos at the highest level and, in this sense, the intervention to be co-financed has been distributed across four municipalities.

I luoghi

The first municipality involved is Vita, within whose territory the Baronia forest stands for almost 670,000 square meters and about two kilometers from the city houses. Then, we move to the "Pianto Romano" shrine in the territory of Calatafimi Segesta with the historical reference to the battle that Garibaldi's Thousand fought against the Bourbons. The third place is the Tonnara di Scopello, certainly among the most famous and oldest of the Sicilian ones with a history that reflects the eras and the troubles of the historiography of the Island. Finally, San Vito Lo Capo with the Riserva dello Zingaro whose sea has, among other things, the merit of being very sheltered, thanks to the presence of a mountain system that follows the entire coast.
